Ingredients

●     Water – 1 cup

●     Milk – 1 cup (any kind)

●     Black tea leaves – 2 tsp (or 2 strong black tea bags)

●     Sugar – 1.5 to 2 tsp (adjust to taste)

●     Ginger powder – 1/4 tsp

●     Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp

●     Pinch of cardamom powder or 1 crushed green cardamom

●     1–2 cloves (if you like extra spice)

Instructions

In a saucepan, add water, ginger powder, cinnamon powder, and tea leaves. If you’re adding cardamom or cloves, toss them in now. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  2. Add milk & sugar

Pour in the milk and sugar. Stir and let it come to a boil again. Simmer gently for another 2–3 minutes so the flavors mix well.

  3. Strain & enjoy

Strain into cups and enjoy hot. Great with a biscuit or just on its own.
